Chrome Handlebar Risers
|
|
Have pain in the upper shoulder area or the upper middle back after a 2-3 hour ride? Get risers, trust me. These are the
Aeromach PullBack Risers which place your hands into a natural comfort
zone by raising the bars 2" and putting your grip point 1-1/2" closer to
you, while allowing you to retain your stock throttle and brake cables.
This is a simple mod, Put a thick towel over the tank, significantly loosen the bolts that hold the risers to the triple tree, remove the 4 bolts which hold the top caps to the handlebar to the risers, remove the top caps, remove from the handlebar, lay the handlebars carefully on the towel on the tank, remove the significantly loosened main riser nuts and carefully remove the stock risers. Install the new risers, apply Loctight to the main riser nuts and tighten then down until they are only snug, install the handlebar into the new risers, install the top caps, install the 4 retaining bolts, tighten down the "snug" main riser bolts down tight. Wrap your old risers up in a soft cloth and store them, if you trade you bike in years to come you can put them back on and make a few dollars on the higher risers. Now go ride that bike. ....and of course....
Industry wide back order!!!!
