Driving Lights - Turning them into Emergency Flashers

I was sitting there staring at my bike and the thought hit me, The MR16 run/turn lights I have are bright and they have a circuit installed to make them flash, but wouldn't it be interesting if I could add in a another circuit to make the driving lights flash separate from the run/turn signals. Hey it you going to do parades and escorts, why not. Anyway, this is a really simple mod to pull that off. You have to review what I have modified on the bike for this to make 100% sense.

This is the original drawing....

First off, at one time I was trying to install a pair of 4.5" reflectors which had H4 bulbs in them as opposed to a single H3 bulb which is so common in driving lamps.  I created a dual relay circuit to accomplish this. (Unfortunately, the reflectors in that size, were of a substandard design, throwing unwanted light everywhere and they were sent back to JP Cycles for a refund). In this drawing, pay attention to the handle bar toggle and how it was wired.

Currently I have 25 Watt H3 bulbs in my running lights which work fine for me since my headlight bulb is a 70W/65W Osram instead of a stock 65W/55W H4 bulb.

This is the flasher mod....

In this diagram, you will notice the lower relay which controlled the High Beam of the H4 circuit has been removed and the toggle switch position which drove it now drives the flasher for the running lights. An Automotive Flasher Module has been added and is punched in on the output of the relay. It would be the same type of relay utilized in the flasher circuit for the emergency flashed for the run/turn lights.

Connection points are made with the aid of quick disconnect crimp-on terminal connectors, the ones which are insulated by plastic and slide together like this one shown to the left.
