Covering up the empty space

So you added and air kit and removed the air channel and stock air filter assembly and you have a naked left side of the engine to look at. Many options are available to you from horn covers to whatever you can dream up. Here are some examples. Google on CHROME HORN COVER and you will find them in the first couple of results pages.

Well you get the idea right? Take your stock mounting bracket, drill a hole or 2 in it. Get a flat piece of aluminum from Home Depot, figure out how long it needs to be to support one of these from behind, cut it down, sand it to shine it up and , screw it all together and you done.

However, It really isn't very custom if everyone has the same thing. So for about $10 I came up with something that is completely personal to me. The parts consisted of 1 picture off the internet of my ancestors Coat of Arms, the stock air filter mounting bracket, a packet of Scotch Laminating sheets 4"x6", some black paint, a $1 piece of oval shaped wood from a crafts store, 2 wood screw a little crazy glue to glue the laminated picture to the painted wood.  Here are a couple of pictures.
