When it comes to a method of mounting any type trunk on your Nomad, WOMPUS Racks has the best solution I have found hands down. These racks are made of steel and are rugged to say the least. My rack came finished with the same color and finish as the frame of the bike is painted. Depending on what type trunk you elect to install, you will have to make your own drilling template to overlay on the flat mounting surface of the rack as Mike does not pre-drill mounting holes for a trunk. How could he since you have to come up with a trunk? This is an excellent product from Mike. The rack for my Nomad 1600 attaches on a total of 6 points. For other bikes please go to the WOMPUS site to confirm your bike's requirements.

My installation was very easy and went like this.  Remove the saddle bags, remove the two fender screws on each side of the bike and top shock nuts from both sides, slide the rack into place, reinsert bolts and shock nuts, retighten, put your bags back on and your done.
