This
is a nice shelf. It is well made and sturdy.
It isn't as easy to mount as some of the
competitors shelves but what it lakes in
ease of installation is does make up in
steadiness.
I wanted
to get my GPS higher so I wasn't looking
down at it and this fit the bill.
Here is
the contact info:

To the
left, you can see the right side bracket
protruding through the top plastic cowling
cover. You have to remove that fairing
piece, find a place to work, tape the
cutting area template on the piece and with
either a really sharp Exacto knife or dremel
tool, cut out a rectangular channel in it so
the metal piece, shown to the left, can poke
up through it. Yes it is a pain in the but
but with the right tools... not bad.
The part
of the metal arm you don't see mounts to the
upper portion of the windshield channels at
the top portion of those channels on either
the right or left side. This gives you a
really stable mounting point(s). I think
this is the best shelf going. I also wish
there was a mini shelf option. Half the size
would be nice for those of us just wanting
to mount a single device as opposed to
multiple instruments of distraction.

One
thing I have noticed is that with this shelf
like any shelf, since you are adding a ridge
behind the windshield, you can expect the
wind flow behind the wind shield to be
altered. With my CALSI wind shield installed
and this shelf, I appear to be getting some
dirty air buffeting I didn't feel before.
The air which flowed up normally is now half
way rerouted to the right and left side of
the shelf ends and also downward at the edge
closest to the drive. With the flow of air
behind the wind shield impaired by the shelf
by 50%, I don't think it can move as much
air behind the screen upward to help push
the overall arc of air coming over the top
of the wind shield upward as high as before.
Therefore the upper air drops a bit and
causes the turbulence I am feeling. The dash
shelf may have to go... dunno.
