Well, I have to start somewhere with this so here are places I have stayed which I thought were more than worthy of a re-visit in the future. I decided the way this is going to work is this. If I liked it I will write it up and if I didn't like the place then, "they are dead to me"....you have to say it with an Italian accent...

TWO WHEEL INN
US-129, Robbinsville North Carolina

A comfortable destination for both you and your motorcycle !!
Graham County has come a long way in the past few years and really appreciates the many motorcycle riders who have made this area a destination in their travel plans. Not only do we have the best roads, good old southern hospitality, and a great riding season, but now we offer special accommodations for riders who visit us.

And the best part is that it is designed with the biker in mind. Each room has its own motorcycle garage to keep your bike out of the weather. Conveniently located three miles south of Robbinsville on US129. Just 25 miles to the famous 318 curves in 11 miles of the TAIL OF THE DRAGON at DEALS GAP, 15 miles to the mile high CHEROHALA SKYWAY, 10 miles to the NANTAHALA GORGE and the twisties of WAYAH ROAD, and 35 miles to CHEROKEE and the BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY

This is a really good place to stay. At the time I went through in Nov 2006, it had opened in May of the same year. Immaculate rooms, double beds, TV, AC, bath w/shower and a place for my bike to sleep too, its own garage. We had a nice bonfire in the courtyard in the evenings and enjoyed the pleasant company of the owners, who's names elude me. They are former residents of FL and moved to NC to retire by running a motel?!?!?!?!...  hehe. Good folks. Ask them where they got their furniture from as it is an interesting story.

When I went to the 2006 SEVROC meeting in Maggie Valley , NC., I stayed here and I enjoyed my stay a great deal. Both Debi and Mike are down to earth and super friendly. Great rooms and service and I got extra coffee...<G>, a clean room through out and well kept grounds. I found it highly restful. Oh and good TV too... there seemed to be a lot of auto races on... This is the only place I have ever stayed where they laid out clean older towels in the chair outside the rooms so we bikers can wipe our bikes down in the dewy mountain mornings. This is the kind of motorcyclist minded thinking I like and so did everyone else. It is centrally located and is with in a short walking distance to several places to eat.

I don't camp with the bike yet but when I do I may have to make this the inaugural camp ground for that event. There was a post SEVROC ride lunch at this site one day and I was headed into Maggie Valley to check in at my motel and accidentally hooked up with the ride group at this location. Actually I didn't know it was on my inbound route and I was like, "Oh, there's the KSL, guess I ought to check it out since I am driving right by it." It seems to be a great facility for camping or "cabining"... yes they have cabins too. Check out their web site for more pics and info....
