Handlebar Mounted Switch

I am not sure what should be in this spot on the right handlebar switch housing and since it is such a nice flat space, it deserves to be occupied. After taking the cover apart, one can see that there is enough room for a small DPST or a DPDT switch. I only need to have a way to complete the circuit to the input for the relay on the Hella FF50 driving lights so they turn on and off. This is the perfect spot and there is plenty of room for a small switch.

Carefully snake the wires into the switch housing though the same hole the other cables enter through, This connection only provides +12v to the trigger input on the relay so we aren't pulling  much current so we can get away with some pretty small wires, which was a blessing in this case unless you want to route the main cable entry hole in the side of the switch housing.

I put a wrap of electrical tape around the end of the switch. in the event of a random and unexpected short.
After reassembly, this is the result. The switch is positioned so that turning the switch on, you click it to the right and off is to the left. I also put a small rubber washer between the nut and the housing as a weather strip.
