Being a tall person, at times after hours in the saddle, I have to straighten out my legs in order to avoid a rest stop and lose road time. So After looking around and figuring out that no one makes a set of Highway Peg Mounts that will even come close to the Highway Pegs on my big Kawasaki Nomad, I decided to think a little differently on the subject. Instead of resting my heels on a nonexistent pair of pegs which attach to big chrome engine guards, which aren't there either, I figured the next best thing would be if I could rest my leg on something similar to the plastic tip-over guards. I currently stretch one leg at a time over them but I still have to hold my leg out there. No relaxing there to be sure. So, I needed something that would be out of the way but still available and capable of resting both legs, straightened out, at the same time. This works.

I went slow and  it took around an hour. A dremel kit is preferred but a steady hand and a sharp knife can be used to cut the small rectangles out of the tip over wing covers.     This is the template sheet. Cut them out and slip them on over the plastic cover and mark the area to be removed.
