There is only one reason I
installed these and that was to reduce the heat blast off the engine. These do
help deflect the air further away from your legs substantially. I also assume I
will stay drier and further remove my legs from the winter cold air wind chill
even more.

As you can see in the pictures,
they add width in the leg area of the cowlings. These are easy to install,
which 3M Automotive Trim Tape is a personal favorite of mine and, oh my gawd,
they used enough pieces of this tape on the back of each wing. Make sure you
clean the surfaces with the supplied prep pads and practice positioning the
winds BEFORE you remove the tape, then you will have an idea of how they
will fit on. Once you peal the tape and stick, it is stuck. |

There are 2 screws to drill
in to the ends of the wings to act as anchors. The upside is at least the
holes are out of the line of sight. Here is a picture looking from the front
of the bike looking up at the drivers right side mirror. Oh, there is a un
used hole I see, guess I'll put my PIAAs there... Forgot about those, they
were drilled for another project. |
