Man, I sure do like shinny things... almost as much as LEDS...almost. These are the bikes I have had in descending order of appearance.

The easiest of the reflective items to apply and to remove are the ideas on the ST1300. The Diamond tape on the Nomad was easy enough to put on but to get it off is a pain. Also the small glass "eyes " in the tape kept falling off the edges leaving a jagged edge. It wasn't dangerous, just not straight. The most difficult to work with was the reflective pin stripe. It is brittle and you better get the "run" right the first time because you don't get a second chance. Oh and it has a nasty tendency to break when your trying to work with it. If you attempt using the tape make sure the tape and surface are at least 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

Welcome to my testing laboratory. This is probably the most commonly known black reflective kit for ST1300s as well as other bikes such as BMWs and Kaw Concours. I found these on EBAY from spd2918for $23. They are easy as pie to put on just make sure you clean the area with rubbing alcohol before applying the stickers and make sure you haven't left any lint of other fibers on the area. I found that heating the area up with a hair drier helps to get the panel to stick a bit better when your pulling the backing paper off after positioning the panels. After you have them on, heat the showing side of the panel with the drier to really activate the glue.

Due to the surface of the bags in the area of application, I found that by heating the panels up, after placement and rubbing from the center of the panel in a circular motion outward, helps the panel to stick to the rough surface.

The black reflective Chevrons' kit on the sides are very easy to put on as well. These came from www.reflectivedecals.com

and cost $20, in my case, per bike side, since I used 1 kit per side. They are Available in: reflective red, yellow, white and black.
